What are the current problems encountered by the textile industry?

The first is insufficient demand. From a domestic perspective, the retail sales of clothing, shoes, hats, and knitting textiles of units above the domestic market quota from January to February fell by 31% year-on-year. From an international point of view, since March, a large number of export orders have been delayed or cancelled, and the number of new orders has also been greatly reduced.

Second, the pressure on the industry to stabilize employment is increasing. The pressure of order reduction is being transmitted upstream along the industrial chain, which will have an impact on the normal operation of the textile industry chain, and the employment situation in the industry tends to be severe.

The third is that enterprises report that they are tight on funds. Affected by the decline in orders and refunds, the inventory of raw materials and finished products of textile companies is increasing. Especially in the chemical fiber industry, because continuous production cannot be stopped, they are facing greater inventory pressure and the amount of funds is also increasing.
